The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) has begun, with the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) taking center stage. Online poker players who are unable to go to the Bahamas may participate in the virtual action.
Stars announced on Tuesday that the Mini PCA series would be available online beginning today and continue until February 3. The series runs along with PokerStars’ 10-day live broadcast from the Bahamas.
In early activity, the PCA has already proclaimed several winners. This features a seven-figure win for Isaac Haxton. Here’s a look at some of the action from the Bahamas thus far, as well as a preview of the Mini PCA.
What can you anticipate from the PokerStars Mini PCA?
The Mini PCA has 30 events with three cheap buy-in tournaments every day. Prices begin at $1.10, and the event contains tens of thousands of dollars in worth.
On January 29, the $55 Mini PCA Main Event will highlight the series, with the winner receiving a European Poker Tour Monte Carlo package. There is something for every skill level. PokerStars hopes to provide the next best thing to being at the PCA in the Bahamas.
Players will discover even more important tournament action after the Main Event. The live PSPC is one of the largest events on the poker calendar this year, and Stars will be hosting an online version as well.
The $25 Mini PSPC begins on January 30 with a $10,000 prize pool. The competition adheres to the same five-day schedule and organization as the PSPC.
PokerStars has added another excellent bonus for players participating in the Mini PCA. Every tournament’s prize pool includes EPT satellite tickets. This gives the series a little more to play for during the run. The whole program is shown here.

Early PCA victories are highlighted by Isaac Haxton.
A few players have already secured championships with the PCA already in full swing. Isaac Haxton was back in action in the Bahamas this week for the opening tournament of the series after winning the $50,000 championship event at the PokerGO Cup for $598,000. The American won the $100,000 Super High Roller for a total of $1.1 million.
The victory came after a deal with Seth Davies and Adrian Mateos, who finished second and third, respectively. Both of these athletes earned little less than $1.1 million. The tournament had 49 entrants for a total prize money of $4.8 million. Haxton’s Twitter celebration was reserved.
The $20,000 Knockout event, which provided participants $10,000 bounties, was also one of the bigger stakes games completed thus far. The event had 22 participants and a prize money of $424,732. Tauan Naves of Brazil won the competition for $87,932.

Poker lovers who cannot go to the Bahamas may still watch most of the action from home, perhaps even participating in the Mini PCA online.
Several tournaments are being streamed live on the official PokerStars YouTube channel during the season. The second day of the $10,000 PCA Main Event begins today.
