The World Series of Poker Announces the Complete 2023 Tournament Schedule

The entire calendar of events for the 2023 World Series of Poker has been released. The 54th annual World Tournament of Poker is scheduled to run from 30 May to 18 July, with 95 gold bracelets to be awarded at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, which will return as the series’ host following a successful debut in 2022.

In addition to the live events, 34 online bracelets will be awarded this year, including 20 for WSOP.com players in Nevada and New Jersey and seven for each site in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Thus, at least 129 bracelets will be earned in 2023, with the WSOP Europe and a separate WSOP Online expected to be launched at a later date.

We anticipate a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2023 due to the enthusiasm produced by the WSOP’s debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year “WSOP SVP and Executive Director Ty Stewart said. This is the year to visit Las Vegas if the major event is on your bucket list.

As Stewart noted, an organizational focus will be made on making this year’s championship event the biggest in the series’ history. The WSOP $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em world championship is slated for July 3-17, 2023, with ‘Main Event Mania’ termed by organizers in an effort to surpass the 2006 record of 8,773 entrants. The 2022 race attracted 8,663 participants, making it the second-largest field in history.

GGPoker will begin this year’s main event by awarding at least 600 tickets to participants. An additional 112 guaranteed tickets will be given on WSOP.com from June 25 to July 8, at a rate of 10 guaranteed seats each day, in advance of the main event.

In addition, a new “Global Qualification Weekend” will be conducted on May 20-21, during which chosen live card rooms from across the world will host guaranteed seat satellites to send local players to the 2023 main event. Participating establishments will host a $140 buy-in step tournament and a $1,175 mega satellite that will grant a spot to the main event and a travel stipend. Visit www.wsop.com/mainevent for more information, including a list of participating locations.

In the event that this year’s main event field sets a new record, a lottery will be performed with all entries eligible to win a main event buy-in for the following 30 years. If the record is broken, this’main event for life’ drawing would be conducted on Saturday, July 8th.
